Community placements in parish nursing teams can offer adult and mental health students individualised support

Volunteering with a parish nursing service inspired Joanne Corlett to set up a unique placement for nursing students. ‘It’s the first and so far the the UK,’ says Dr Corlett, a reader at University of Dundee’s School of Health Sciences. ‘In higher education, especially since COVID, it’s been challenging to find community placements for our students. We’re always looking for ways to develop new ones.’
